The earth's demand for water will increase by 50% by 2050, so it is necessary to take practical actions for water resources protection.

        Hungarian President Adel yanosh said that at present, it is necessary to re-establish a sound water resource management system, establish more adaptive institutions, encourage new innovative solutions, strengthen technology investment and transformation, attract investment, and effectively solve the problems faced by water resource protection.

        According to the summit, water is a precious natural resource, and the relationship between the world and water has reached a strategic key point. The use of water resources can no longer be taken for granted. The protection of water resources must be embedded in the relevant policies of the 2030 sustainable development agenda of the United Nations. The summit launched a number of initiatives, including continuing to promote the implementation of all water related 2030 sustainable development goals; ensuring the transformation of sustainable development goals into national and local action plans through the efforts of governments and water owners; recognizing the importance of water as an accelerator of circular economy, and supporting governments to implement sustainable development, such as the Paris climate agreement Policies and measures formulated in accordance with the purpose agreement; strengthen political and technical cooperation, coordinate the formulation of water policies in the areas of economy, energy, climate change, health, food and biodiversity protection, and promote the achievement of effective, flexible and inclusive water governance and management systems.

        At the summit, Chen Lei, Minister of water resources of China, introduced China's use and protection of water resources. He believed that at present, China's economic development has taken on a new normal, building a moderately prosperous society has entered a decisive stage, and new and higher requirements for water resources security have been put forward. The Chinese government has put forward the new development concept of "innovation, coordination, green, opening and sharing", established the water-saving priority policy, and made it clear that by 2020, the total annual water consumption in China will be controlled within 670 billion cubic meters, the water consumption per unit of GDP and per unit of industrial added value will be reduced by 23% and 20% respectively compared with 2015, and the effective utilization coefficient of farmland irrigation water will be increased to more than 0.55%, The leakage rate of public water supply network shall be controlled within 10%. To this end, China has put forward five initiatives to accelerate the implementation of the UN 2030 agenda for sustainable development, especially water related goals and tasks: first, systematic governance and comprehensive implementation of policies. Fifth, inclusiveness, mutual learning and win-win results.
